Testimonials

However the economists and historians will ultimately define it, the current global and U.S. economy is suffering from a major contraction. But many are determined to survive. They are laying the groundwork to create new opportunities for when the business cycle turns up as it most certainly will. Are you?

At the Charlotte Chamber, our budget for 2009 reflects a 24 percent reduction in projected revenues. Staff headcount is down 14 percent from one year ago. We are reprioritizing and redeploying resources to address our members’ greatest needs. We will continue to recruit new businesses to Charlotte. We will continue to have a pro-business presence at all levels of government. We will continue to help small businesses survive and thrive. We will remain committed to growing the economy, serving as a voice for business and delivering value. This is not the time for your Chamber to retreat, but to find new ways to help you create new opportunities.

We would like to know what you and your company are doing to Survive and Thrive in 2009, and we would like to share your story with others. Please submit a testimonial of up to 200 words to news@charlottechamber.com. We will compile testimonials on this page and include select stories in periodic e-mail blasts. Survive and Thrive! It will work for you, your company, our community and nation.
